CALLAHAN, FL -- Tired of NASCAR? Looking for a new white-knuckled, breakneck thril? Then look no further than Callahan's own Atlantic Coast Lawn Mower Racing Association.
John McCoy snapped these pics of the racers in action, near U.S. 1. He says he was just passing by and happened to see the mowers tearing around the track.
He tells us the mowers get up to about 30-40 mph. The drivers modify the mowers by taking the blades out. Otherwise, he says, they are "stock."
